Progress Update on AAL Newbuilding Program

19th September 2011

To our valued Clients

As you are aware, Austral Asia Line (“AAL”) has embarked on a major tonnage upgrade programme to support AAL’s position as a leading multi-purpose liner service provider in the Asia-Australia trade, servicing the Breakbulk, Heavy-Lift and Project Cargo market.

The first units of AAL’s fleet of newbuildings comprising of 10x 31,000 DWT A-Class types plus 4x 19,000 DWT S-Class MPP/Heavy-Lift vessels, have been delivered by the respective shipyards and introduced to the AAL liner services (“AAL BRISBANE”, “AAL KEMBLA” and “AAL FREMANTLE”).

Unfortunately the delivery of the second S-Class vessel “AAL DAMPIER” has been delayed by the yard and updated delivery dates are reflected in the schedule.

Existing bookings will be transferred to the next available vessel accordingly.
